Evening Programme
In order to help our students meet the many challenges they will face as employees within the industry, the Northern Racing College now offers a ‘life skills’ programme in the evenings that includes:
- Cookery and domestic skills
- Personal financial management
- Physical education
- Personal and social education
- Mentoring and leadership skills for students identified as having the potential to support their colleagues.
- Crime awareness & self defence
- Effective communication
- Dealing with life changes
- Citizenship education
The programme is delivered through a wide ranging and interesting partnership of different organisations who have brought a diverse range of skills and knowledge to the college for the benefit of learners. They have also offered many opportunities for personal and professional development for staff at the college. They include:
